Pietersite is a beautiful semi-precious gemstone that belongs to the family of Quartz. It is also called Tempestone. It is one of the rare gemstones with dark grey or reddish appearance. Pietersite is basically a crystal made of broken fragments that are embedded in a matrix. Its beautiful appearance resembles Hawk’s eye or Tiger’s eye. It does not have a very old history.
